On February 25th, Samsung unveiled its 2018 beast.
Under the hood, Galaxy S9+ houses Samsung’s latest Exynos 9810 (for Asia, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 for USA and other). That’s a powerful Octa-core processor (4x 2.7GHz Mogoose M3 + 4×1.8GHz Cortex-A55) therefore it will give you the performance you need. The Exynos variant comes with Mali-G72 MP18 GPU for HD gaming and a more-than-enough 6GB of RAM.
The internal memory variant is available with 64/128/256 GB. It is expandable up to 400 GB via micro SD card, However that is limited to dual sim variants only which comes with hybrid sim slot.
Galaxy S9+ has a 6.2″ sAMOLED QUAD HD+ (1440 x 2960 px) 18.5:9 infinity display which has a pixel density of 534 ppi which curves to the both sides. It has a 3D touch home button built into the display. Since the display is HDR10 compliant which means Gaming and Movies will be crispy awesome on this panel. The display has Corning’s Gorilla Glass 5 protection on both the front and the back hence it will survive those accidental falls and scratches.
Let’s talk cameras, Galaxy S9+ has a Dual Camera setup of which the primary one is a 12MP (1.4 micron sized pixels). The ‘inspired by the nature‘ camera has an aperture of f/1.5 which can go directly f/2.4 on the basis of situation. The secondary cam is a 12MP telephoto lens with an f/2.4 aperture with 1 micron sized pixels which has a 2x optical zoom. Both cameras have OIS, for focusing primary one has Dual Pixel PDAF while the secondary one has PDAF. The front camera is a 8MP with an f/1.7 aperture and 1.22 micron sized pixels. It has AF and can shoot 1440p videos at 30fps.
Galaxy S9+ can record 4K videos at 60fps and can take 9MP images simultaneously. The ultra slow mo option can let you record a fraction of second at 720p(HD) at 960fps which is really cool. It has few options to edit, add music and make video go reverse with the slow-mo footage so that you enjoy.
Galaxy S9+ has a 3500 mAh non-removable battery which supports Fast charging and wireless charging also.
It has support for dual-band 802.11 Wi-Fi connection with a/b/g/n/ac bands. It also has Bluetooth 5.0, GPS and NFC for wireless payments. The USB on this beast is a type-C v3.1 port. Talking about jack it does have a 3.5mm jack with 32-bit/384kHz audio support.
