On April 4, Nokia launched 3 of its smartphone in India. Nokia 6 (2018) is one of them!
Under the hood, Nokia 6 2018 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 630 SoC (clocked at 2.2GHz on Cortex-A53 octa-core) coupled with Adreno 508 GPU with RAM option of either 3GB or 4GB both LPDDR4. The phone has internal storage option of 32GB and 64GB and is expandable via micro SD card up to 128GB.
Nokia 6 2018 sports a standard 5.5-inch full HD 1080p (1080×1920 px) IPS display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection on the top. The display is a 16:9 panel with a density of 403 PPI. It has curvy feel on both sides of the phone.
Talking about cameras, Nokia 6 2018 has a 16-megapixel back camera with PDAF and an f/2.0 aperture with 1-micron sized pixels. The phone does come with a dual-tone LED flash and the camera is a Zeiss optics based hardware. On the front is a 8-megapixel fixed focus camera with an f/2.0 aperture and 1.12-micron sized pixels.
The camera application also supports Dual-Sight mode where you can use both rear and front camera all at once to capture what’s happening in front of and behind the camera simultaneously. You can also broadcast every split-screen side-splitting moment directly to Facebook Live or YouTube Live.
Nokia 6 2018 is a front glass and aluminium body design as we saw it on Nokia 7 Plus but this time no copper edges.
It has a 3000mAh battery that doesn’t support fast charging as of now, it has USB Type-C (v1.0). On the connectivity side, it has a LTE Cat.4 modem, WiFi 802.11 with a/b/g/n bands, Bluetooth 5.0. It also has support for GPS/AGPS, BDS, NFC and FM Radio.
The Nokia 6 2018 is based on Android One version of Android Oreo out of the box and should get quicker security patches. For security of data, the device has a fingerprint sensor mounted to the back of the phone.
