On 4th of April, Nokia launched its flagship phone in India, that is the Nokia 8 Sirocco.
Under the hood, the Nokia 8 Sirocco is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC along with Adreno 540 GPU. It has a LPDDR4X 6GB RAM and 128GB of on-board storage(non-expandable).
Nokia 8 Sirocco sports a 5.5-inch Quad HD (1440X2560 px) pOLED display with 3D Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the top of it. It features a Always-ON mode where you can see your recent notifications within the screen. The display is a 16:9 panel with a pixel density of 534 ppi and horizontally curves along the edges.
Let’s talk cameras, Nokia 8 Sirocco has a Dual-camera setup of which primary one is a wide 12 MP with an f/1.75 aperture and 1.4 µm(micron sized pixels) with OIS coupled with 13 MP telephoto lens with 1 micron sized pixels. The telephoto lens is capable of providing 2x (lossless) optical zoom and has an f/2.6 aperture. The dual cameras to the back has dual-tone LED flash for low light scenarios and are by Zeiss optics.
The front camera is a 5 MP sensor with fixed focus lens and has an f/2.0 aperture and 1.4-micron sized pixels.
Nokia 8 Sirocco is a glass sandwich body design meaning glass on both front and back side of the device.
It has a 3260mAh battery that does support fast charging as well as wireless charging, it has USB 3.1 Type-C (v1.0) port. On the connectivity side, it has a LTE-A (3CA) Cat12 modem, a dual band WiFi 802.11 with a/b/g/n and ac bands, Bluetooth 5.0 and support for GPS/AGPS, BDS, NFC and FM Radio.
