Oppo Find X: The true full-screen phone!

Adapted from Samsung, enhanced by Oppo!

Oppo unveiled the Find X on 19th June in Paris. It is the first ever smartphone (after Vivo apex and nex) to sport a truly full screen display with curved edges. Oppo did an amazing job to put the minimal bezels and a motorized sliding space which unveils the camera, earpiece and some sensors.

To the back you will not find any cameras. Haha! we are kidding :D, Oppo has used the motorized sliding tray for the camera to slide out from the top. It’s a dual camera setup of which the primary lens is a 16MP sensor with an f/2.0 aperture. The secondary camera is a 20MP with an f/2.0 aperture. There is OIS present on the primary camera for those fine stable shots and videos. It can record videos in upto 4K at 30fps, 1080p at 240fps and 720p at 480fps. We competing OnePlus 6 ?

The front shooter is a 25MP sensor with an f/2.0 aperture. The camera (tray) pops up from the top when the camera app is triggered. This camera is an AI-enhanced intelligent sensor. It boasts features like Face Beauty, Bokeh mode, Potrait lighting and many other.

There is no fingerprint sensor present on this phone as this phone comes with 3D face scanning capability. And it uses the 3D face recognition to unlock instantly and securely.

Oppo Find X runs the latest version of ColorOS (v5.1) on the top of  Android v8.1 Oreo. There is sadly no 3.5mm headphone jack on this phone and uses the USB Type-C to 3.5mm jack adapter. There is Dual-band Wi-Fi present along with Bluetooth 5.0 (LE) for quicker connectivity. The USB on this phone is a Type-C connector which is pretty standard now. It has a 3730 mAh non-removable Li-Ion battery which can be charged quickly via the VOOC fast charging adapter.

Oppo Find X is set to go available from August. We will update this blog when we get enough information on the retailing.
