Samsung announced the Galaxy A6 and A6+: Affordable Infinity Display Phone

What’s the chip inside? Infinity Display is stunning!

Samsung introduced both Galaxy A6 and A6+ on May 2, 2018 on its newsroom blog website. Galaxy A6 and A6+ will sport an Infinity Display and have all the sensors you need.


Under the hood, Galaxy A6 has an 1.6GHz octa-core processor whereas Galaxy A6+ has a 1.8GHz octa-core processor within. Samsung has not made it clear about which and what processors they have used in both the phones. Both phones comes with 3GB/32GB and 4GB/64GB RAM and Storage variants. Both will be expandable up to 256GB via Micro SD card slot.

Galaxy A6 has a 5.6-inch HD+(720×1480px) display and Galaxy A6+ sports a 6.0-inch FHD+(1080×2220px) display. Both phones have Super AMOLED Infinity Display. The protection is still not confirmed as of now.

Galaxy A6 has a single 16MP shooter to the back as well as front. The rear sensor has an f/1.7 aperture whereas the front camera has an f/1.9 aperture.

Galaxy A6 Plus has dual camera setup to the back and a single 24MP f/1.9 selfie shooter to the front. The Primary lens on the rear is a 16MP sensory with an f/1.7 aperture that is coupled with a 5MP f/1.9 depth sensor lens.

Galaxy A6 and A6+ have dual-band WiFi chip, Bluetooth v4.2, LTE Cat.6 2CA for the connectivity part. Both have all the important sensors you will need. Additionally NFC also will be present for some country.

The launch date is still not confirmed let alone the date of world-wide retailing. But we think that it will most probably be available in the first week of June.
