Vivo did it! No notch, No tension!
Vivo APEX is the first smart phone to offer the truly full-screen display. It has a 91% screen-to-body ratio and has under-the-display fingerprint, ambient light and proximity sensors.
Vivo APEX‘s heart is Qualcomm’s SnapDragon 845 processor. There is no word on the RAM and internal memory. This is a concept phone, however Vivo has decided mass-producing it by the middle of this year.
Vivo APEX has a 5.99-inch FHD+ OLED display with COF technology. The front camera and proximity sensors are crammed under the display for the full-screen experience. It uses SoundCasting Technology that makes the screen to double up as earpiece.
The thickness of left, right and top bezels is only 1.8mm whereas the bottom is 4.3mm thick. It is a fairly slim handset at 7.8mm thinness.
Vivo APEX has a dual camera setup to the back. The camera supports Super HDR with dynamic range limiting up to 14 EV. It includes multi-frame compositing, smart optimization, AI Algorithm and many other camera features.
The front camera is a motorized 8MP shooter. It pops up from the top when you switch to selfie-mode in the camera app. It only takes 0.8 seconds for it to pop up.
Fingerprint sensor is embedded under the display. The use of Half-Screen Fingerprint Scanning technology. It can also register and recognize multiple fingerprints.
Vivo has used the SIP(system-in-package) technology to offer Hi-Fi audio experience. It also comes with 3 amplifiers and DAC.
