Xiaomi just launched Mi 6X in China with some pretty cool specs. It is probably a good deal for those who are looking for budget friendly beast.
Under the hood, Mi 6X sports Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 (octa-core processor with 4×2.2GHz & 4×1.8GHz big.LITTLE kryo 260 cores setup). The GPU is Adreno 512 and the RAM set up is either 4/6GB with 64GB or 6GB with 128GB of internal memory. Is it expandable? Yes! But it uses the hybrid slot solution means sim 2 slot will be engaged if you want to pop-in a micro SD card.
The Mi 6X sports a beautiful 6-inch 18:9 Full HD+ (1080×2160 px) LCD IPS display. It has Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3 protection which is adequate for a budget phone like this.
Mi 6X comes with Dual cameras to the back and a single front selfie-shooter to the front. The primary rear camera is a 12MP Sony IMX486 sensor with an f/1.75 aperture and the other one is a 20MP telephoto lens with f/1.8 aperture. LED flash is to the middle of both camera that can help in low light photography. The primary rear camera can shoot HD videos up to 4K resolution (2160p). The front camera is a 20MP selfie-shooter with an f/1.8 aperture and can shoot video up to 1080p.
Mi 6X is released with MIUI 9.5 built on top of Android Oreo 8.1. It is expected to hit Indian market as Android One (being Mi A2) device as we have seen in the past for Mi 5X being released as Android One Mi A1 in India.
